Workshop Manager (Security Counters & Screens Fabrication)
We are actively seeking an experienced workshop manager to oversee and improve our security counter and screen fabrication facility in Edenbridge, Kent.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and leadership for the fabrication team.
- Lead and organise all fabrication activities to ensure overall quality and on time delivery.
- Review the scope of works, drawings and establish project objectives, standards and product schedules.
- Monitor and order all required materials required for projects and off-the-shelf stock products.
- Maintain stock levels of off-the-shelf stock products and assist in product development.
- Perform a monthly stocktake.
- Check and verify purchases orders and invoices for projects, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.
- Organise quality and safety training programs and maintain competency in line with industry standards.
Skills/Experience:
- You will ideally have 10+ years’ relevant experience in steel fabrication and basic joinery.
- Possess good interpersonal skills;
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of security glazing would be of benefit but is not necessary.
Status: Full-time permanent
Salary: Will be discussed at interview stage
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
